Freedom vs. Security

Text with below video:

A set of measures pushed by the Obama administration could make it legal for the United States government to monitor things such as Facebook or Blackberry Messages (BBM). Nicole Kardell says that the law would have safeguards including making a federal agent obtain a search warrant in order to access the information. However, would the US government agents look past that and access the information anyway.

No Quality Control Courts and Policing

I know from experience cops in Connecticut have no obligation to protect and serve. Most are merely "Armed Revenue Collectors". Court cases to be rigged for retaliation, maximum family abuse, and for the state and lawyers to make as much off of misery as is possible. My thoughts on the subjected expanded:

The problem is with the US Government, State Government, Taxation without True Representation, and Crapulent US Courts and Policing.

Police urged to aid abused women
’09 slaying brings calls for change

HARTFORD — Connecticut police could have done more to prevent the killing of a woman slain last year, allegedly by her volatile former boyfriend, the victim’s parents and a state advocate say.

Michelle Cruz, the state victim advocate, released a report yesterday with recommendations on how the state could better protect victims of domestic violence after James Carter II, 28, of Bloomfield was charged with fatally stabbing his former girlfriend, Tiana Notice, outside her Plainville home on Valentine’s Day last year.

Carter pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges and awaits trial.

Notice’s parents said police missed several opportunities to intervene and ignored their daughter’s requests for protection after Carter repeatedly violated a restraining order, they say.

“She reached out for help, and the doors were closed on her multiple times,’’ said Kathy Lewis, Notice’s mother. “As a mother, I have to live with that. Knowing how close and totally different the outcome could have been if people had just done one little thing.’’

The report, which mentions Notice’s dealings with Waterbury and Plainville police, suggests new policies for swifter and stricter policies on violations of protection orders.

Among the recommendations are that all police departments in the state implement mandatory uniform policies on enforcing restraining orders and that a committee be established to evaluate these procedures.

The report also suggests more involvement of family court judges and state attorneys in domestic violence cases.

According to the report and Notice’s parents, the 25-year-old sought a restraining order on Carter soon after their relationship ended.

The report said officers in Plainville and Waterbury were dismissive and slow to react to Notice’s reports of harassment even after Carter allegedly slashed her tires and sent her threatening texts and phone calls.

Plainville police did not have an immediate comment yesterday.

A message left with a Waterbury police spokesman was not immediately returned.

Lewis said that before her daughter’s death she called police departments to follow up on their investigations.

“I was told: ‘Nothing is going to happen to your daughter over the weekend. Come back on Tuesday,’ ’’ she said.

“Well, guess what, Tuesday came, and my daughter wasn’t here.’’

Alvin Notice said he has helped begin a memorial foundation in his daughter’s name. He said the foundation has donated security cameras to victims of domestic violence so they can provide proof of abuse to law enforcement.

“If we don’t talk about domestic violence, there’s no way we’re going to stop this problem,’’ he said.

Prison for Videographers and Photographers?

Text with below video:

US marshal Enrique Trevino, with the compliance of US attorney Seth Weber and federal judge Henry Perkin, frames a peaceful photographer. Photography is not a crime. This video shows the brutality of US marshals in Allentown, the ability of state agents to frame peaceful people and how the libertarian community can overcome the tyranny of a powerful central state.

Is even suggesting "Jury Nullification" against the law near courts? Can you be arrested after uttering the words or supplying others with information near a court?

I found the above video in a Darren Wolfe Opednews.com article:

Uniting to Fight Tyranny: Darren Wolfe's Interview on Call to Decision (audio)

On September 23, 2010 I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Pastor Butch Paugh on his radio show Call to Decision. Though I'm secular and he's religious we gladly came together to advocate liberty. We had a great discussion about my article "Principled Nonvoting: The Beginning of Disengaging From the State" and fielded several good questions from his listeners.

Non-custodial parent issues

States get federal tax dollars to break up families and abuse citizens in courts. Too many state workers are getting 6 figure salaries just to make life tougher for citizens in a bad economy. Are we slaves to the state?

The below came in by email:

Thank you for showing me this message.
It shows the picture of the truth, and tells the truth in that "Fathers are More then wallets". All readers of this message should
understand that this is not a statement of "Men" of are not "Fathers". This is the difference between the "Fathers" movement and a "mens" movement. All men are not "Fathers" . "Fathers" have a biological investment in society and men who are not
"Fathers" have no biological investment. Fathers are required to follow laws of the State and Federal Governments Laws, while men who are not "Fathers" are not so required.
Here is a copy of some of the differences that "Fathers" invest. (Mens movement is Not the same as a "Fathers" movement. )

Men more evolved? Y chromosome study stirs debate

WASHINGTON – Women may think of men as primitive, but new research indicates that the Y chromosome — the thing that makes a man male — is evolving far faster than the rest of the human genetic code.

A new study comparing the Y chromosomes from humans and chimpanzees, our nearest living relatives, show that they are about 30 percent different. That is far greater than the 2 percent difference between the rest of the human genetic code and that of the chimp's, according to a study appearing online Wednesday in the journal Nature.

These changes occurred in the last 6 million years or so, relatively recently when it comes to evolution.

"The Y chromosome appears to be the most rapidly evolving of the human chromosomes," said study co-author Dr. David Page, director of the prestigious Whitehead Institute in Cambridge and a professor of biology at MIT. "It's an almost ongoing churning of gene reconstruction. It's like a house that's constantly being rebuilt."

Before men get too impressed with themselves, lead author Jennifer Hughes offers some words of caution: Just because the Y chromosome, which determines gender, is evolving at a speedy rate it doesn't necessarily mean men themselves are more evolved.

Researchers took the most detailed examination of the Y chromosome, which females do not have, of both humans and chimps and found entire sections dramatically different. There were even entire genes on the human Y chromosome that weren't on the chimp, said Hughes, also of the Whitehead Institute.

The two-year research took twice as long as expected because of the evolutionary changes found, Hughes said.

There is a bit of a proviso to the comparison to other chromosomes. While all human and chimp chromosomes have been mapped, only two chimp chromosomes have been examined in great detail: Y and chromosome 21. Yet, there's still enough known to make the claim that the Y is the speediest evolver, Hughes and Page said.

Until recently the Y chromosome was considered the Rodney Dangerfield of genetics, especially because it had fewer genes than other chromosomes. A few years ago some researchers even suggested that the Y chromosome was shrinking so that in 50,000 years it would just disappear — and so would men.

"The story is not as cut and dried as many would have liked to predict," Hughes said. "It's kind of fun to say that men are going to die out, but the science is proving — now that we've got data — that that's not true at all."

Page agreed. "The Y chromosome has many more tricks up its sleeve than it was given credit for," he said.

There are a couple of reasons Page and Hughes cite for Y being such an evolutionary powerhouse. One is that it stands alone and isn't part of a pair like 44 other chromosomes. So when there are mutations there's no matching chromosome to recombine and essentially cover up the change, Hughes said. Because women have two X chromosomes, the X chromosome doesn't have this situation.

Another reason has to do with the nature of mating. When female chimps are in heat, they mate frequently and with many partners, so there is an evolutionary pressure on the male to produce the most and best sperm to propagate his genes, Page said.

To test this out, Hughes said she hopes to soon examine the Y chromosomes of a rhesus macaque, which is fairly promiscuous, and the marmoset, which is more monogamous than early humans probably were.

Outside scientists praised the study.

"Wow," said R. Scott Hawley, a genetics researcher at the Stowers Institute in Kansas City. "That result is astounding."

"The Y chromosome clearly has the strength and tenacity to fight back," said Hawley, who wasn't part of the research. "I certainly think the Y chromosome has taken a bad rap for a long time with people doing maps showing areas for channel surfing."

Are license plate scanners on the sides of roads, on traffic lights, and onboard in police cruisers used to track down divorced dads for arrest, vehicle confiscation, and illegal detention? Are members of the general public being hunted covertly by officials using a new Big Brother tool?

If you owe child support because you are unable to pay, not unwilling, should you fear the above? Should citizens be put on lists for covert investigations, arrests, blacklisted, and abused this way in America?
